Next time, I advise you to check your sources rather than go by an unproven rumor.  Let's please get back on topic here, which is listing 4000 locations that still remain.

I can still confirm that West Plains, Missouri, has a 4000 as of February 4th. I should note that I see zero degradation.

I work for Ritter Communications and we use the 4000 which services Marked Tree, AR Blytheville, AR and most neighboring rural communities. We have seen no degradation on our 4000.

I remember a good while back that Elizabeth City, N.C. still had a 4000. I wonder if they still have it.

Sorry to bring up an old topic but Topeka, KS Hasn't had an 4000 in years.  The videos seen online are from the Perry and Lecompton, KS areas where their cable service (SCI Cable Inc.) has a 4000.

I can account for the 4000 still being in State College, PA as of April 17, 2010 (although they switched from a small local company, D&E, to a national company, Windstream. Goodbye, WS4000.  )

Sounds like an assumption to me that a switch of companies means a switch of STAR units. Until someone visits the area and actually gets video, no one knows for sure.
Latest narration skipping sighting on 22840: 6/14/10 7:58 AM EDT

Current STAR count: 20

I am surprised that nobody has found a Star 4000 for Wisconsin, yet. I know there might possibly be a few scattered around Green Bay and Appleton, in places like Pulaski, Seymour, or Oconto.

I work for Bledsoe Telephone in Pikeville TN we still use a 4000. sometimes I have to powercycle it because it will get stuck on the locals.

Wow! if I may ask, what does "powercycling" mean?
